This sweet 4yr old male (Yorkie mix) came to me from the Long Beach area with a badly broken leg. After exam and X-rays my vet wanted to amputate his leg, but I wasn't about to give up on Riley. I could see that he had feeling even though it was very slight he still had feeling. So off to the specialist we went for a 2nd option. Sure enough the specialist agreed with me and said, Riley's leg can be saved with a plate and screws.
Two surgeries later, 2 months in medical boarding and rehab at my vets office and another 2 months with a strict regimen by his foster mom. Riley is doing great and loving life again.

Here's a little insight from his awesome foster mama. Andrea Mallow Marsh.

He’s definitely sweet.
Friendly with small and large dogs.
He absolutely loves his person and kids.
Loves car rides.
He barely barks outside.
He's kennel trained.
Loves to eat. Lol
He is an escape artist!!  So if given a chance or if there's an opening in the gate he will bolt. Ugh, Riley's old habits die hard.

Other then that and it's totally understandable because of all he's gone through, he does get a little anxious when left alone, he just wants to follow you around and sit right by his human.
He also needs leash training.. But he's smart and learns fast.

If you are in California have a home with a very secured yard and a minimum of a 6ft fence and would love to adopt Riley, then please complete our adoption application at www.tlck9rescue.org
